The institution’s ambition is for the educational program to be characterized by openness and a commitment to continuous evaluation and critical review based on the current state of evidence. It is of great importance that the institution and its faculty are able to convey and foster this perspective in our students.
During this week's meeting of the program committee, which consists of the program management and course coordinators within the main subject of naprapathy, we highlighted the importance of systematic reviews of the current evidence base in naprapathy and manual medicine, based on scientific literature reviews and reports on guidelines and recommendations for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and pain. The conclusions from these reviews form the basis for revisions to the naprapathy program's content and scope, including its breadth and depth, diagnostics, treatment interventions, explanatory models, and pedagogy.
The purpose of this systematic work is to ensure that students are well-prepared for a changing professional landscape and to help them develop a scientific approach that enables evidence-based practice. This includes the ability to seek information and allow high-quality science, combined with clinical experience and patient needs, to guide treatment decisions.
