NIMM – the Nordic Institute for Manual Medicine – is an educational institution in Stockholm for those who want to work with people and health. With roots in the Naprapathic College, founded in 1970, NIMM is today the Nordic region’s oldest and largest integrated educational environment for manual medicine. NIMM includes the Naprapathic College, the Chiropractic Academy, and the Osteopathic College – three professions with their own identities, but with a common direction: to strengthen the role of manual medicine in the healthcare of the future.
Working in manual medicine is about more than just techniques, tests, and treatments. It is about understanding the human body, being able to interpret pain and function, meeting patients professionally, and making wise decisions based on the best available knowledge.
That is why NIMM’s educational environment is built on both science and proven experience. This means students receive instruction that is both academically grounded and closely connected to professional practice. Through methodology training, thesis work, clinical seminars, and research-related projects, students are trained to think critically, evaluate new knowledge, and contribute to the continued development of their professions.

At NIMM Clinic in Odenplan, in central Stockholm, students meet patients under supervision and have the opportunity to develop the skills required for an independent professional life. The clinic is an integrated part of the education and a vital place for connecting theory, practical skills, and professional responsibility. Here, students are trained in patient interaction, examination, clinical reasoning, treatment, rehabilitation, medical record-keeping, and patient safety.
