A new member has recently been appointed to the Karolinska Institutet Pedagogical Academy. Out of the applications received in 2022, only one candidate was deemed suitable following internal and external reviews: Per Palmgren.
The Pedagogical Academy consists of teachers who have demonstrated exceptional skill in teaching and learning. Their pedagogical contributions have been deemed particularly significant in promoting high-quality education.
The experts specifically highlight that Per is a highly competent educator with both deep and broad knowledge of higher education pedagogy, and that he is able to translate pedagogical theory into
teaching practice. Furthermore, they note that Per’s merits as an active researcher, including his research collaborations and co-authorship with leading national and international scholars in higher education pedagogy, are clear evidence of this.
Per says that “with this appointment, I receive a one-time bonus which I will likely use to take a one-month sabbatical to work on two medical education research projects. Furthermore, I intend to use the Pedagogical Academy’s network to share my experience and reflective teaching practice, thereby supporting other teachers and teaching teams in their efforts to develop their teaching, supervision, and education.”
The School of Naprapathy congratulates Per on this prestigious award.
We are proud and grateful to have you as the pedagogical leader of the naprapathy program!
