Per is a former dancer and remains active in the dance world as both a coach and a judge. After graduating and becoming a licensed chiropractor, he began teaching anatomy and diagnostics at the Scandinavian College of Chiropractic. His interest in pedagogy led him to earn a Master’s degree in Medical Education from the University of Dundee in Scotland. In 2010, he connected with KI and Klara Bolander Laksov, who became his supervisor when he was accepted as a doctoral student in 2011. In 2016, Per defended his doctoral thesis in medical education, titled “It takes two to tango – an inquiry into healthcare professional education environments.”
Today, Per works as a university lecturer at the Unit for Evaluation (EVAL) at the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) at KI. In his role, he leads several pedagogical projects focused on quality assurance and evaluation, conducts research on psychosocial education and learning environments, and teaches courses primarily aimed at doctoral students and faculty.
