Last week, the Strategy Group held a meeting where representatives from professional associations in Sweden, Norway, and Finland, along with the Finnish education program at XAMK and School of Naprapathy, gathered to establish key joint strategic guidelines.
Current priority areas include the design of the Norwegian authorization service (equivalent to the Swedish licensing service). There is also a desire for clearer central governance, learning objectives, and structure regarding the Swedish licensing service. Another priority is the work with ECNE, the European Council of Naprapathic Education, where the School of Naprapathy and the Finnish educational program will develop standards for quality-assured naprapathic education.
Furthermore, discussions are ongoing regarding a joint initiative for a continuing education program for naprapaths. The importance of naprapathic education in Norway was also highlighted, with the School of Naprapathy naturally serving as a key stakeholder.

The School of Naprapathy is restarting its seminar series. Each semester, two seminars are held on the themes of manual medicine, sports medicine, or health. First up in the series is the lecture “20+ years in the service of sports medicine - from the bench to the all-star team” by Martin Asker, Head of Research and Development and Subject Representative for Sports Medicine at the School of Naprapathy, as well as a researcher in sports medicine at Sophiahemmet University and Karolinska Institutet.
The Research Board addresses strategic research issues and has a specific responsibility to promote and support research at the School of Naprapathy, both research conducted with the college as the principal investigator and research where the college acts as a partner and/or funder. The seminar series is a natural part of disseminating knowledge about the research conducted at and with the School of Naprapathy.
