The ceremony began with a speech to the students by Helène Schulte, Principal of the School of Naprapathy, followed by songs and music performed by two of the college's students.
Next, CEO Inger Berg took the stage to present a scholarship to the Student Union President, Edvin Ambrus. The scholarship was established in memory of naprapath Anne-Lie Hallstensson and is awarded annually to the Student Union President. Inger also thanked the entire union for the incredibly important work they do every day for the college and its students. She provided a historical look back at the milestones in the development of naprapathy in Sweden that the union has helped contribute to: professional licensure for naprapaths in 1994, student financial aid for School of Naprapathy students in 2001, and the union’s efforts—together with the School of Naprapathy and the Swedish Naprapathic Association—to successfully persuade Swedish authorities to withdraw the National Agency for Higher Education's proposal to merge the naprapathy program into the physiotherapy program.
Following Inger's speech, it was time for the School of Naprapathy's Directors of Studies, Camilla Bolin and Helene Hultholm, to thank the class representatives and the Student Union for their efforts over the past year. The college's teachers and staff were also thanked, and the Student Union presented awards for "Best Teacher," "Best Supervisor," and "Best Administrative Staff."
"I denna ljuva sommartid" concluded the program, after which lunch was served in the dining hall and outdoors in the greenery.
