The purpose of this project has been to develop a curriculum and course package for healthcare providers interested in the care of patients with back and neck pain. A complete seven-module course package is now available, and the first courses will begin in the first week of July 2019.

The guiding principles of the training program are evidence-based, patient-centered, interprofessional, and integrated care:
“The European Diploma in Interprofessional Spine Care (EDISC) aims to train clinicians in a respectful and collaborative interprofessional environment. The learning activities of EDISC are grounded within the principles of evidence-based and patient-centered care. The EDISC promotes interprofessional dialogue and decision-making that focuses on improving patients' health outcomes and quality of life.”
The target audience for the training includes naprapaths, chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists, physicians, and other groups working with spinal health. To be eligible, applicants must hold a degree from a recognized school or university and have at least two years of clinical experience.
Skillgate is one of the instructors for the program, and both she and we at the School of Naprapathy hope to see many licensed naprapaths in Geneva in July 2019 for productive discussions and to work together to spread knowledge about naprapathy and spinal health.
