Representing the School of Naprapathy, Camilla Bolin, Stefan Bohlin, Nidal Awad, Linda Ladenstedt Engman, Eva Skillgate, and I were there to offer our congratulations.
Friday featured a congress with several guest speakers, an annual meeting, and a banquet. The congress continued on Saturday with workshops, including one led by Mia Thuresson and Mimmi Linder, both instructors at the School of Naprapathy. The theme of the workshop was “Manipulation techniques: past and present.”
The School of Naprapathy is thrilled to be part of celebrating the success of professional authorization for naprapaths. Authorization means that naprapathy will become an established and integral part of the Norwegian healthcare system, just as it is in Sweden. This decision is, of course, highly significant in several respects. It contributes to better public health, strengthens patient safety, and, not least, represents a tremendous recognition of naprapathy as a treatment method. The decision also serves as a confirmation for the School of Naprapathy that our education is considered to be of such high quality that it can serve as the basis for professional licensure in both Sweden and Norway. Naturally, this also makes the School of Naprapathy’s plans to establish a naprapathy program in Norway highly relevant.
