This decision is based on the Minister for Education's statement during last night's press conference, as well as our continued focus on providing high-quality education while prioritizing everyone's health. We are closely monitoring developments in society, which means the guidelines below may be subject to change.
The School of Naprapathy is well-equipped to offer our students adapted forms of instruction. Over the past academic year, the management team, school leadership, and the naprapathy group have been working on our new "Education Plan 2020," which means we have already planned for several aspects regarding the digitalization of teaching and a higher degree of student-activating processes—work that is well-supported by pedagogical research.
The adjustments to our teaching take into account both official recommendations and the fact that we do not want to jeopardize our students' normal study progression and financial aid. In summary, the adapted instruction will mean that theoretical lessons will be held digitally as much as possible to facilitate distance learning, practical lessons will be conducted in smaller groups, and patient flow at the college's clinics will be adjusted.
We are humble in the face of the challenge to deliver the same high quality of education we are accustomed to. We are also well aware of the extraordinary situation we are in, which affects us all. We fully understand the significant concern regarding the spread of the coronavirus. However, we must remember that there are currently no official government decisions regarding our theoretical, practical, or clinical operations. Nor has the Swedish Naprapathic Association (SNF) issued any general guidelines stating that clinics around Sweden should close.
