The School of Naprapathy is seeking a President with great commitment and a focus on the future. The President serves as the college's academic leader, with responsibility for the implementation and development of the college's educational operations.

The position requires a high degree of adaptability to both internal and external demands, as well as the drive and ability to continuously develop our pedagogical work. We are therefore looking for a visionary leader who can inspire and drive change in a positive way.
A Principal at the School of Naprapathy must be a strategic thinker, a strong negotiator, and capable of navigating the societal context in which the college operates. The Principal will be responsible for politically driving the work toward securing academic credits for the naprapathy program and degree-awarding powers for the college. The Principal must also be a driving force in increasing internationalization and fostering collaboration with other educational programs and institutions, as well as in the development of high-quality courses and continuing education at the college.
The person we are looking for is creative, skilled at building relationships, and enjoys communicating with students, faculty, staff, authorities, and the wider community. Furthermore, the ideal candidate is an effective communicator who can set clear goals and provide support, encouragement, and inspiration.
Increased competition from other educational providers, both nationally and internationally, demands the continuous development of the naprapathy program while simultaneously preserving the identity and unique character of the profession. Both are essential for the program to maintain its appeal, strong reputation, and high application rates in the future.

Your role

Your qualifications


You hold a degree in naprapathy and are a licensed naprapath, or possess another medical degree with a deep understanding of naprapathic issues. A research background is considered an asset. You are a confident, responsive, and clear leader who helps others grow. You have the ability to translate your experience into actions characterized by both initiative and thoughtful consideration. You understand the importance of sound finances, efficiency, cost-awareness, and strong entrepreneurship as the foundation for a long-term, healthy organization.

Terms of employment and salary


The position as principal is 50%. The form of employment is a probationary period or permanent. Start date is August 1, 2016.
The principal works closely with the administrative manager and CEO and reports to the CEO and the board of directors. In addition to the formal requirements, great emphasis will be placed on the applicant's personal qualities.
The School of Naprapathy applies individual salary setting within the salary range determined by the college's Advisory Board.

About the School of Naprapathy


The School of Naprapathy in Stockholm is the largest college in the Nordic region specializing in advanced manual medicine and has been training naprapaths since 1970. The college is private and operates under state supervision.
The naprapathic program is a four-year professional degree program that leads to a naprapathic diploma, a requirement for completing the mandatory clinical internship in Sweden and applying for professional licensure from the National Board of Health and Welfare. The naprapathic program at the School of Naprapathy in Stockholm is the only program in Sweden that qualifies graduates for professional licensure.
