The opponent, Jan Hartwigsen, Professor at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, did a thorough job of analyzing, scrutinizing, and questioning everything from the research questions and statistical methods to the references, all of which the respondent answered with flying colors. After more than three hours of defense, supervisors Eva Skillgate, Johan Berglund, and Peter Anderberg could finally breathe a sigh of relief. The grading committee reached their decision quickly. Following the defense, there were toasts, cheers, and celebrations late into the evening.
The School of Naprapathy presented the new Doctor of Technology with the collected works of Oakley Smith. Stina Lilje is the seventh naprapath to earn a doctorate.
