It is, to say the least, peculiar that the current state education system does not grant academic status to a naprapathy program that leads to a profession licensed by the National Board of Health and Welfare, with specialist knowledge in musculoskeletal disorders—the common disease of our time.

There is no doubt that knowledge in this field needs to be strengthened and researched. To achieve this, academic status is required. It is, therefore, a catch-22.
Naprapathy programs in Finland and Sweden have long been working together to explore opportunities for further studies and higher education in naprapathy. The fact that XAMK is now launching Master's Program in Naprapathy in collaboration with the School of Naprapathy, which enables studies at a higher level and opens the door for further doctoral research in a subject that truly needs to be studied, is a huge step forward and shows that "nothing is impossible"!
More information about the degree is available here on our website: https://naprapathogskolan.se/xamk-startar-masterprogram-i-naprapati-i-samarbete-med-naprapathogskolan/ and on XAMK's website https://www.xamk.fi/en/degrees/master-of-naprapathy/ as of March 2020.
