I hope you have had a great summer and have recharged your energy for the new academic year that has now begun!

Although the pandemic is not over, the situation is calmer right now. This means, however, that we will continue to adapt our operations to current circumstances and remain prepared to make adjustments. The experience we have gained over the past few semesters allows us to look forward to the coming academic year with confidence and excitement!
The School of Naprapathy encourages everyone to follow the Public Health Agency's recommendations regarding Covid-19 vaccination. Vaccination is only part of the solution. We need to continue washing our hands, staying home if we have symptoms, and maintaining physical distance to slow the spread of infection. This is to ensure we create the best possible conditions for a productive and functional academic year, which is especially important since the naprapathy program is based on extensive practical and clinical work involving close contact.
We have a very exciting academic year ahead of us. The school management and the Naprapathy Group are continuing to develop the new curriculum and study plan, which we hope will take effect from the autumn semester of 2022. It is largely based on student-activating pedagogy and manual medicine from a patient-centered perspective. Collaboration with the Finnish naprapathy program regarding the master's degree continues. In addition, we hope to shape a broader continuing education program. Cooperation with the Nordic professional associations continues on important strategic issues. ICT development is progressing with the aim of building a stable foundation with modern educational tools. The research and development side is being strengthened. At the clinic, work on patient-centered care continues. The fundamental prerequisite for all of this to be accomplished is that we take collective responsibility for preventing the spread of Covid-19.
Thank you for your continued understanding and for looking out for one another.
I look forward to a new, rewarding, and exciting academic year together!
