The Musculoskeletal & Sports Injury Epidemiology Center (MUSIC) at Karolinska Institutet is conducting a study on evidence-based practice in manual therapy.
The purpose is to map the perceptions, skills, and use of evidence-based practice among professional groups working with manual therapy, of which naprapaths are one of the most prominent in Sweden today.
Evidence-based practice refers to the systematic use of several different sources of knowledge (the practitioner's expertise, the best available research evidence, and the patient's situation, experience, and preferences) when making decisions about care for their patients.
The results will provide a foundation for educational and research initiatives in the field of evidence-based practice, which can help improve the quality of care and promote collaboration and integration between naprapathy and conventional healthcare.
