It feels fantastic to welcome everyone back to a new year at the School of Naprapathy!

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful holiday season and are ready for more naprapathy! Because surely it’s true that “A tougher nut to crack, a sweeter porridge, a deeper dip in the pot, a brighter sparkle, a mushier rhyme, and more Arne Weise on the screen, a roomier sack, a chewier toffee, a fatter slice of pork, a cozier hug, a longer conga line, and a faster fox on the ice…” is cozy, but it also feels good to start a new year…!?
2020 is going to be an exciting year as the School of Naprapathy celebrates its 50th anniversary, which will, of course, be marked in many different ways.
What a journey naprapathy and the college have been on! From the time our founder, Björn J:son Berg, traveled to America at the age of 17 to later graduate from the Chicago College of Naprapathy, to where we are now—with a program that leads to a licensed profession and is integrated into the Swedish public healthcare system. Impressive!
If I could wish for future development, as a physician, I would hope that more colleagues come to understand the expertise that naprapaths possess. I am writing this from the orthopedic emergency room, as my son suffered a traumatic knee injury on the ski slopes. I firmly believe that this is exactly where you naprapaths are needed. To work together in a multimodal team to treat acute injuries within the hospital setting. Let’s work toward that, and let’s hope it doesn’t take another 50 years!
Take care, and thank you for carrying the valuable knowledge of naprapathy forward!
Best regards,
