Since the School of Naprapathy was founded in 1970, collaboration has been a cornerstone of our work. Today, collaboration is an integral part of both education and research, with the goal of offering students a scientific and profession-oriented environment that bridges the gap between research, education, and their future careers.
The collaboration is between the School of Naprapathy and Professor Eva Skillgate, focusing on research conducted at the Musculoskeletal & Sports Injury Epidemiology Center (MUSIC) at Sophiahemmet University. Research at MUSIC covers various types of musculoskeletal health issues, including sports medicine and manual medicine/naprapathy, and is carried out through international and national interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaborations. The projects span areas such as rehabilitation, diagnostics, risk factors, prognostic factors, treatment, and prevention—all of which are relevant to naprapathy. Several faculty members at the School of Naprapathy are active researchers within the MUSIC group, including Martin Asker and Fredrik Johansson.
The collaboration agreement enables the continued positive development of research in the fields of naprapathy and sports medicine. The purpose is to facilitate cooperation between the MUSIC research group and the School of Naprapathy, as well as to promote the scientific development of the college's faculty and supervisors.
