As of January 18, 2016, new rules apply if you are applying for professional certification and were trained in the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Switzerland. The new rules mean that professional practice from another country can now be considered as part of the required internship for certification. If you hold a Swedish degree as a physician or psychologist, or have completed training in Sweden as a chiropractor or naprapath, professional practice completed in another EU country, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Switzerland may be taken into account when you apply for Swedish certification.

The School of Naprapathy supports the National Board of Health and Welfare's proposed regulations on the recognition of practical service for chiropractors and naprapaths.
Background
The Naprapathic Program at the School of Naprapathy in Stockholm is a 4-year, student-aid-eligible program leading to a degree in naprapathy. The program is the largest in the Nordic region within manual medicine, with 350 students primarily from Sweden and Norway, but also from other EU countries. In addition to the School of Naprapathy in Stockholm, naprapathic training is also conducted in Kotka, Finland. Consequently, practicing naprapaths are primarily found in Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
The proposal would significantly increase the total number of available internship positions. This would mean a substantial improvement in the opportunities for graduated naprapaths to secure an internship within the intended timeframe and would increase collaboration within the profession.
The School of Naprapathy is therefore positive toward the National Board of Health and Welfare's proposal.
