The past month has included the usual studies, but also the opportunity to attend FoMM – Forum on Manual Medicine, the Nordic region's largest congress for advanced manual medicine, where naprapaths meet to hear about the latest research. Although not an official part of the schedule, the exchange of experiences, the sense of community, and meeting like-minded people are a huge part of the experience.

FoMM is a golden opportunity for a student to make connections, network, get inspired, and take part in research advancements. This year, the congress spanned two days; the first day consisted of workshops at the School of Naprapathy and an evening mixer at Infra City, where the rest of the congress was held. The second day featured several informative lectures, an inspirational talk by Therese Alshammar, the annual meeting, and the wonderful banquet. During the breaks, there was a room with exhibitors from various companies in our field to visit, where the School of Naprapathy had a booth.

One downside if you want to attend the entire congress is that there are classes during the day, so you have to decide if you can afford to miss them to participate.
Right now, thesis projects are being presented, and students from all years are required to attend a certain number of sessions to gain inspiration, broaden their knowledge in different areas, and learn about new studies. It is sometimes difficult to manage to listen to the topics that interest you personally because they have to fit into the rest of the schedule, which is mixed with other classes and clinical shifts.
