The National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations on the recognition of chiropractors' and naprapaths' practical service in another EEA country enter into force on June 1, 2016. The consultation process concluded in early 2016, and it is, of course, very gratifying to see the regulation now take legal effect.
In short, the decision means that when applying for professional licensure, naprapaths may have practical service completed in another EEA country recognized. Such recognition may cover a maximum of nine months of full-time service or the equivalent. The service must have been completed after finishing a Swedish naprapathic education program as referred to in Chapter 3, Section 7, first paragraph of the Patient Safety Regulation (2010:1369).
