This process allows you, as a student at SKHS, to express interest in having your previous studies evaluated by NIMM. The purpose is for NIMM to assess which parts of your studies at SKHS can be credited, and subsequently plan a potential path for continuing your studies within the NIMM chiropractic program.

By completing the expression of interest and consenting to the sharing of information between SKHS and NIMM, you agree that SKHS may disclose the information NIMM needs to assess credit transfers and plan your continued studies. This may include information regarding completed courses, examinations, study results, clinical and practical components, study status, approved leaves of absence, and tuition fees.

No, an expression of interest simply means that you would like to have your previous studies assessed by NIMM and receive information about potential future study paths. It does not mean that you are automatically enrolled at NIMM, nor does it commit you to accepting an offer.

No, submitting an expression of interest is free of charge. Once NIMM has assessed which parts of your previous studies can be credited and which courses or modules you need to complete to finish the program, you will receive an individual payment plan for the remainder of your studies. 

Yes, if you want NIMM to be able to make an individual assessment, SKHS needs to be able to provide relevant study records to NIMM. Without this information, NIMM cannot assess credit transfers or create a plan for your continued studies.

NIMM requires information relevant to assessing your previous studies. This may include completed courses, examinations, academic results, clinical/practical components, study status, approved leaves of absence, as well as tuition fees paid and outstanding.

No, credit transfers are based on an individual assessment. NIMM needs to compare your completed studies with the content, scope, learning outcomes, and requirements of the NIMM chiropractic program.

The starting point is that previously completed studies should be credited to the greatest extent possible. At the same time, NIMM must ensure that all students meet the requirements of the NIMM chiropractic program. The chiropractic program at NIMM is four years long. The courses you completed at SKHS are mapped against the courses included in NIMM's degree program. You then supplement these with the courses and modules required to meet the program's requirements for a chiropractic degree.

No. NIMM will not offer distance or semi-distance studies for the autumn semester of 2026 for students who have previously studied at SKHS.

The decision has been made following a comprehensive assessment of the student base and the pedagogical, organizational, quality-related, and financial conditions. The Chiropractic program includes, among other things, practical and clinical components, examinations, attendance monitoring, student support, and patient safety-related progression. NIMM assesses that these elements cannot be carried out with sufficient quality and stability within the framework of a separate distance-based educational solution for the autumn semester of 2026.

The option NIMM can offer is campus-based studies in Stockholm. The opportunity to continue studying at NIMM requires an individual application, validation, and assessment. NIMM will not offer teaching or practical components in Skellefteå for the autumn semester of 2026.

The instruction offered by NIMM for the autumn semester of 2026 will take place on campus in Stockholm. To follow the program, you must therefore be able to participate in the teaching and the practical, clinical, and examination components that, according to your individual study plan, are conducted on-site in Stockholm.

Yes, the chiropractic program at NIMM is eligible for student financial aid in the same way as the chiropractic program at the Scandinavian College of Chiropractic (SKHS). This is stipulated in the Student Finance Ordinance (2000:655), where chiropractic education at NIMM is covered by the provisions for student aid. In addition to grants and student loans, you can also apply for an additional loan to cover tuition fees.

Yes, you are responsible for your own student aid application with CSN. NIMM can provide information about the program to support your application, but CSN makes the final decision regarding student aid.

Yes, the chiropractic program at NIMM is designed to meet the educational requirements for chiropractic licensure in Sweden. According to the Patient Safety Regulation (2010:1369), requirements include, among other things, completion of a chiropractic program consisting of at least four years of full-time study, fundamental theoretical and clinical knowledge in medical subjects with a specific focus on manual medicine, and a final thesis. After completing the education, a period of practical service is also required before an application for licensure can be submitted.
